Where Does The Energy From A Wind Turbine
This article discusses how wind turbines store energy and utilize it for residential and commercial purposes. Conventional turbines
Wind turbines themselves don't really store energy, they produce energy. That doesn't mean the energy can't be stored though. Much of the energy can be simply sold back to the utility company and used immediately on the power grid.
Some newer turbine models are starting to experiment with battery storage, but it's not very common yet. At the moment, wind turbines store energy by sending it to the grid, and it is stored on the grid if there is an excess of energy, Contrary to popular belief, electricity itself can't be stored.
Wind energy cannot be stored (unless batteries are used); and not all winds can be harnessed to meet the timing of electricity demands. Good wind sites are often located in remote locations, far from cities where the electricity is needed.
